How to Embed Videos Directly Onto Your Flipbook Pages

Static pages are a thing of the past. To truly capture your audience's attention, your content needs to be dynamic and engaging. One of the most powerful ways to achieve this is by embedding videos directly into your flipbook pages.

While lightbox videos are great for longer content, in-page videos are perfect for adding life, motion, and visual flair right where your readers are looking. In this tutorial, we'll show you exactly how to use this premium feature to make your flipbooks move!

What is an In-Page Video?

Unlike a lightbox video that pops up in an overlay, an in-page video is embedded directly into your page's design. Think of it like a moving image or a GIF with sound. It's perfect for:

  • Adding subtle animations and visual effects.
  • Showcasing short product clips.
  • Creating eye-catching, dynamic page layouts.

Here's how to add one to your Fflipp flipbook:

Step 1: Go to the Advanced Editor

In-page videos are an advanced feature. From your dashboard, click "Edit" on the flipbook you want to modify, then find the button to open the Advanced Features Editor.

Step 2: Add a New Media Hotspot

Navigate to the "Hotspots" tab. In the "Add New Media Hotspot" section, fill out the initial details:

  1. Enter the Page Number where you want the video to appear.
  2. Select "Video" as the Media Type.

Step 3: Choose "In-Page" Display Mode

This is the most important step! In the "Display Mode" dropdown, switch from the default "Lightbox" to "In-Page (Embedded on the page)". The form will then prompt you to upload a local video file.

Step 4: Upload and Position Your Video

Choose your video file and click "Add Media." Once added, it will take you to our visual editor, where you can precisely position, resize, and even rotate your in-page video to get the perfect look.

Pro Tips for Awesome Performance

For the best user experience and fastest loading times, we recommend keeping your in-page videos short and optimized. Think of them as high-quality GIFs!

  • Keep it Short: Under 10 seconds is ideal for auto-playing clips.
  • Optimize Resolution: A 480p or 720p resolution is often a perfect balance of quality and file size.
  • Watch the File Size: Aim for under 2MB. Smaller files mean your flipbook loads instantly for everyone, on any device!

This premium feature is the perfect way to create a living, breathing digital document that stands out from the crowd.
