If you are a freelancer, solo architect, graphic designer, or marketer, your workflow looks different than a standard business user. You aren't just creating content for yourself—you are creating content for paying clients.
You design stunning brochures, digital portfolios, and interactive catalogs, and you charge anywhere from $200 to $2,000+ for the finished product.
But when the design is done, how do you hand it over? Sending a massive PDF is unprofessional, and hosting the client's flipbook on your personal account forever is a logistical nightmare.
That is why we made Transfer Ownership a core feature of the Fflipp Pro Tier.
The Perfect Freelancer Workflow 🚀
Fflipp is designed to make your client delivery process seamless and professional.
Step 1: Build in Pro
First, you use your Pro account (or unlock a single flipbook using Fflipp Credits) to do the heavy lifting.
You take the client's static PDF and bring it to life using advanced features: embedding YouTube videos, adding clickable shopping links, inserting background music, and applying ambient effects like falling snow or confetti.
Step 2: Transfer Ownership
Once the client approves the final design, you don't send them a file. You transfer the asset.
Inside the Advanced Editor, navigate to the Transfer tab. Simply enter your client's email address. With one click, the flipbook—and all its interactive elements—is permanently moved out of your account and into theirs.
Your client must create a free Fflipp account to receive the transfer. The transfer is permanent, and you will lose access to edit the flipbook once it is sent.
Step 3: The Client Experience
When your client logs into their new free Fflipp account, they will see the finished masterpiece sitting in their dashboard.
- The Viewer Stays Perfect: All the Pro features you added (videos, links, effects) will remain perfectly intact when the public views the flipbook. They get exactly what they paid for.
- Full Control: They now own the link. They can share it on social media, generate QR codes, and view basic analytics.
What happens if the client wants to edit it later?
Because the client is on a Free account, the flipbook will be "locked" from further advanced editing. If they want to change the YouTube videos, add a Custom Brand Kit (their own logo), or put a Lead Capture email gate in front of the catalog, they have two choices:
- They can hire you again to make the updates!
- They can easily upgrade to a Fflipp Pro or Business plan themselves.
This workflow protects your time. You are no longer responsible for hosting or managing the client's asset after the contract is complete. You build, you transfer, and you move on to the next high-paying gig.
